In a recent blog post on the studio’s website, Square Enix revealed some of its plans for this years’ upcoming E3 show.
“Today marks the first of several Square Enix Road to E3 blog updates we’ll be sharing with you leading into June 14,” the company stated in its first of what appears the be multiple updates before the big show.
Mostly, this update gave us our first look at what to expect on the demo floor:
On top of checking out our Square Enix Presents live program, visitors to our Square Enix booth will also for the first time have an opportunity to check out some of our latest upcoming titles.
Some of the studio’s biggest titles on the floor include Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Hitman, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, and I Am Setsuna. Just Cause 3‘s latest DLC package – The Land Mech Assault Pack, will also make an appearance.
Another interesting event on the demo floor will be the first look at The Square Enix Collective, a different type of program:
Our crowd funding initiative to help developers get their games out to the masses, makes its debut on the show floor of E3 with two playable demos of recently successful campaigns.
The two games out of The Square Enix Collective that will be on the demo floor include The Turning Test – a first-person puzzle game, and Black the Fall, a dystopian adventure.
Keep an eye out for future updates from Square Enix in the coming days:
We’ve got some other exciting demos lined up on the show floor, but we’ll save those updates for our Road To E3 Part 2 blog, which will feature some exciting Tomb Raider news and details on a few new games that our team has been hard at work on. Meanwhile, be sure to follow our official Square Enix social media channels where we’ll be posting news before, during and after E3 2016!
Fans will be eager to learn more about the upcoming Tomb Raider title, which players have only gleaned glimpses of thus far. Square Enix is looking to have a big year at E3, with multiple big titles from some of their most popular franchises making grand appearances.
