E3 2018 is looking to be one of the biggest shows of late. With more companies announcing their plans and involvements for the event, the excitement is definitely growing for what we might see come next month. Developer Square Enix is no exception as they have recently announced via Twitter that they will be holding a presentation to show off their line up for E3 2018.
However, it looks like the showcase won’t be a traditional press conference but will follow in the footsteps of Nintendo Direct presentations. The video itself shown will be produced in advanced and will be live streamed from a multitude of platforms such as Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube. It will also air in English as well in Japanese. This will be the first time in 3 years that Square Enix has held an event for E3. Back then we got a look at titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Kingdom Hearts III, Just Cause 3, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
There was no clue within the announcement as to what the developer plans to show this year only stating that “We’ll connect you to the many worlds within our universe.” but, we can speculate that both Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and KH3 will both make an appearance due to the fact that they are slated for a 2018 release. Square Enix might also be using this presentation to give us a fresh new look at how the FFVII Remake is coming along, as well as Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age and maybe even some information on the Avengers project that they have been working on. Whatever they do have in store it sure to be something big for them to return to the big stage for E3 2018. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m. PT
