A plethora of new indie titles are heading to the Nintendo Switch in the coming months. This year’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase revealed a wide range of titles, from sports RPGs and cozy puzzle games to terrifying deckbuilding. Here’s a recap on every title shown in the Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2022.
Sports Story:
Test your sporting abilities in this new sports specific RPG. Rise up the ranks within the sporting world through games of golf, tennis, football and more. When you aren’t battling it out on the courts, players can explore the numerous dungeons, abandoned ruins, or the mysterious Wildlands through train or helicopter. If you aren’t up for exploring, players can hang out at the mall with its daily attractions and minigames.

Botany Manor:
Play as Arabella Green, a retired botanist who owns a historical manor in the 19th century, and solve plant-based puzzles as you takes care of the gardens surrounding the manor. Improve your gardening skills and learn more about the retired botanist as you inspect newspaper clippings, letters around the manor.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly:
Coffee Talk returns for an episode 2 where you play as the barista of your own coffee shop. Get to know a cast of eccentric characters and brew each of them up a cup of coffee specific to their tastes and hearts.

Rogue Legacy 2:
No adventure is the same in this sequel to the beloved roguelite game. Gather up riches and upgrades and build up your castle to ensure the legacy for your heirs. Every upgrade carries over to your successors, each with their own specific traits and abilities. The Nintendo Switch version will also include the Fabled Heroes update, adding on new content, including dozens of new sub-classes and items.

Have a Nice Death:
Roam the procedurally generated departments of Death Incorporated as Death himself. Hunt down rogue employees who’ve been snatching up too many souls in this hand-drawn 2D action roguelike, using an arsenal of weapons, spells and special curses.

Venba:
Play as a recently immigrated Indian mother in the 1980s as she reconnects with her South Indian heritage through cooking. In this wholesome narrative cooking game, experience a story of love and loss through branching conversations, restoring family recipes and an addictive soundtrack inspired by Indian musicals.

GOODBYE WORLD:
Follow the story of two friends and indie game developers Kanii and Kumade as they search the perfect idea for their next game. Play through stages of retro-inspired puzzle-platformers while following their day-to-day struggles. Will their friendship withstand these these challenges?

ONI : Road to be the Mightiest Oni:
Play as Kuuta, an Oni that travels to a small island where he joins forces with the spirit Kazemaru following his defeat at the hands of a Japanese folktale hero. In this spirited 3D action-adventure game defeat the ancient demons lurking within vast meadows and lush forests through the combined efforts of Kuuta and Kazemaru simultaneously using a single Joy-Con controller.

Aka:
Play as Aka, a retired-warrior in his quest to find inner peace in this top-down, small open-world game island paradise. Organize household objects in this cozy puzzle game with over 75 puzzles, each with a plethora of solutions. Watch out for a mischievous cat who likes to shake things up.

Dordogne:
Play as Mimi, a girl returning to the home of her late grandmother in the Dordogne region of France and experience the setting in both the present and the past. Explore her family history and relationship with her late grandmother through a series of letters and fill Mimi’s journal with photos, objects and words to keep her childhood memories alive.

Blanc:
Explore the monochrome world of Blanc as fawn and a wolf cub in a co-op adventure of unlikely friends. Navigate obstacles within frosty terrain and play to each others strengths in their quest to return home in a text-free narrative with local and online co-op play.

A Space for the Unbound:
Explore the relationship story between a boy and a girl with supernatural powers in this slice-of-life pixel art adventure game set in late ’90s rural Indonesia. When a mysterious power threatens their existence, they must explore their town to uncover hidden secrets, face the end of the world and perhaps learn more about each other.

Desta: The Memories Between:
Play through the dreamscape of Desta in this turn-based strategic character-driven roguelike with dodge ball action.
