We finally got a good look at Insomniac’s Spider-Man game last week at E3 during Sony’s press conference. A great deal of gameplay and cutscenes were shown off, but one feature that has particularly stuck out was Spidey’s suit. Interestingly enough this variation of the web-slinger’s red and blue attire sports a white chest insignia rather than a traditional blue one. Insomniac’s official Twitter account confirmed that the upcoming superhero title will feature multiple suit options for players after a fan asked them about it. The account simply replied back “Yes” to the fans question surprisingly.

The developer also confirmed after Sony’s conference that there is a reason for the suit looking the way that it does for this game, stating that “it’s explained in the game and has a purpose.” Although they did confirm that the game will feature multiple costumes they did not reveal what these costumes will be based on, how players can unlock them, or how they are applied. Multiple suit options were featured in previous Spider-Man games and are not anything brand new.
The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 both are examples of these. Spider-Man Homecoming releases next month so it won’t be a big surprise if there is a suit based on the one that will be shown off in the upcoming film. Miles Morales was also revealed to be present in the game so theres a good chance that there might be a suit option for him as well. Spider-Man will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro in 2018.
