Just yesterday, Insomniac Games released Marvel’s Spider Man 2 for PC players on Steam and Epic Games for $60, and $70 to purchase the Marvel’s Spider Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition. The game was already released on PlayStation in October 2023. IGN also released a PC launch trailer for the game.
The story of Marvel’s Spider Man 2 goes as follows according to PlayStation: “Spider-Men Peter Parker and Miles Morales face the ultimate test of strength inside and outside the mask as they fight to save the city, each other and the ones they love, from the monstrous Venom and the dangerous new symbiote threat.”
There will be some new features in the newest game according to the Steam page and PlayStation blog. Not only will the newest Marvel’s Spider Man 2 will tell a brand new story, but players can also travel and explore through the expanded Marvel’s New York. According to PlayStation, there will be two boroughs and areas like Brooklyn, Queens, and Coney Island. Players can use the new Web Wings to swing across the city.
Players will also be able to switch from playing Peter Parker to Miles Morales. PlayStation says, “Wield Peter’s new symbiote abilities and Miles’ explosive bio-electric venom powers, and discover upgradeable, high-tech equipment that enhances the combat experience for extensive gameplay depth and variety.” There will also be brand new villains that players will have to fight against such as an original take on Venom, Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard, and many more, all according to PlayStation.
There will also be more new features such as wall crawlers have improved to integrate better with the combo system. There will also be a new parry mechanic where players can defend themselves against enemy attacks. Lastly, there will also be a new Web Line mechanic where it lets players create their own pathways across specific points in the area, giving more movement and flexibility.
