Sparklite Release Date Announced

Developer Red Blue Games and Publisher Merge Games have announced the release date for their top-down action-adventure Sparklite which is set to release on November 14 for the PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Sparklite has players exploring a diverse, procedurally generated world in order to take down the titans of the mining industry and harness the power of Sparklite.

The game has been shown off across a variety of different events, most recently, at Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase. There have also been unveiling of the game at ID@Xbox, The Mix Seattle, Kinda Funny Showcase, and the Monsters of Indie Superstar Dev Panel.

Sparklite combines elements of classic adventure titles such as The Legend of Zelda from solving puzzles to defeating a range of different bosses and enemies but it also mixes in a unique blend of approachable roguelike elements. You will also be able to fuse together an arsenal of gadgets, guns, and gear as Ada as you journey across different biomes to save Geodia.  Sparklite features an intricate pixel art asthetc inspired by retro classics, an original Gamecube inspired soundtrack composed by Dale North, five beautiful, procedurally generated biomes, and the ability to invent gadgets to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Players will take on the Baron Mining Corp and its formidable gremlin Titans while protecting and befriending the people of Geodia and help build The Refuge.

Merge Games is running a Steam Wishlist promotion ahead of release where there will be an opportunity to receive exclusive content ahead of launch. After hitting a new Wishlist mark of 15,000, the members of the community will get a free demo ahead of release. Each new mark achieved will unlock a special treat for the community and a final, mystery gift will be unlocked at 55,000. A high-res wallpaper is unlocked at 25,000 and 40,000 unlocks the Sparklite Steam theme.
