According to a report put out today by Machinima, Sony will soon be revealing its plan to bundle its next Gen console, PlayStation 4, with its handheld console, PlayStation Vita, for around $500. Reportedly this bundle will be available near the end of this year.
As reported in Inside Gaming Daily, “a well placed anonymous source” states that this bundle will go on sale before the end of this year. If true, this bundle would be a significantly discounted alternative to purchasing the PS4 and Vita separately. Currently, the Vita sells for $249 and the PS4 will be $399.
Sony has also stated that most of its PS4 games will be playable on the Vita via Remote Play.
