During Sony’s Corporate Strategy Meeting they discussed what their expectations are when it comes to their next generation PlayStation console. Sony already has set the bar extremely high for the next PlayStation and they even have a brief look at what the powerful new system will be capable of compared to what current generation consoles can handle.
Sony has two main focuses for the future of PlayStation and that’s to make every experience as “immersive” and “seamless” as possible. The company stated that, the PlayStation 5 will be able to provide an “immersive experience created by dramatically increased graphics rendering speeds.” What makes these blistering rendering speeds possible is the “employment of further improved computational power and a customized ultra-fast, broadband SSD,” that PlayStation system architect Mark Cerny recently spoke about.
To give those at the meeting a more visual representation of the difference This video below shows off an example of the faster rendering times of the next generation console versus the PlayStation 4 Pro during the Sony event. It has also been confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will support Remote Play functionality. Sony management commented on streaming and how it play a big role for PlayStation in the future.
