During the Paris Games Week pre-show, Sony and developer Heavy Spectrum Limited revealed Oure, an atmospheric fantasy game already available to play.
Players are able to navigate Oure by transforming into a dragon and exploring the skies. According to a post by Heavy Spectrum CEO Matt Birch, Oure is “a unique, dreamlike experience of freedom,” offering gameplay which is “non-violent and intended to be a contemplative experience with moments of drama and mental challenge.” Birch wrote that Oure “contains the message of hope, and players who choose to delve deeper into the world and artifacts in the game will find them “full of metaphors and meanings.” The PlayStation Store’s full summary of the game reads:
Take flight in a dream-like cloudscape as you seek to reawaken the relics of a lost civilization. As a unique child born with the powers of the ancient dragons, your parents cast you from the stricken surface into the land above the skies. There you must use the abilities of both your human and dragon forms to amass magical power, solve strange mysteries and seek out the enigmatic ‘Titans’ that can revive the world.
