Because of this, Slay the Spire 2 is the top-selling game on Steam for March 2026, beating out new releases such as Resident Evil Requiem and Crimson Desert, which is incredible for only being in early access. Slay the Spire 2’s early access started on March 5. By April 3, the game had generated $103 million in revenue on Steam alone, which is incredible for an indie game and for being the second game released by Mega Crit Games, a remote indie studio.

And now passing 5 million copies sold for only being out for a month is nothing short of impressive and well-earned, especially since it’s still early access.
