EA previously announced that Skate 3, Dead Space Ignition, Madden NFL 17 and Zuma’s Revenge would become a free game for Xbox One via EA Access and it’s just been confirmed that Skate 3 has arrived, according to People at NeoGAF.
Skate 3 is a skateboarding game that is for Xbox 360 that is currently playable on Xbox One via its compatibility feature. Dead Space Ignition and Zuma’s Revenge are also Xbox 360 games that will become available for Xbox One via backward compatibility, but they have not yet been released to the Vault.
In other news about the Skate franchise, despite EA Community Manager Daniel Lingen tweeting the creation of Skate 4, there actually are no plans to make the game, per EA.

During an earnings call on January 31, EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that “not presently making Skate 4.” He showed he has a sense of humor, saying that EA CFO Blake Jorgenson would be disappointed that they weren’t making a sequel to Skate 3, as Jorgenson is a big fan of the game. There hasn’t been a Skate game released since Skate 3 back in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Tony Hawk has said that he is planning on making another skateboarding game, but he said it wouldn’t be with Activision. There hasn’t been a contract for the supposed game to be with EA. In an interview with skateboarding magazine Jenkem Magazine, Hawk said that it was too soon to be talking about the specifics of the game, but he is confident that it is with the right people.
“I’m potentially working on something, but it’s so early I couldn’t talk about it,” Hawk said. “I don’t have any contracts signed, but it’s exciting. I feel like it’s with the right people so I should know more in the next couple months.”
EA Access costs $5 per month or $30 per year and is available for PC and Xbox One. It is not currently available for PS4.
