The long-awaited Sins of the Flesh update for Cult of the Lamb has a release date. This update has been anticipated since November and now has a release date of January 16th. With a hint posted yesterday with just the simple term “egg”, fans were confused as to what this meant. With the release announcement including eggs, fans realized that this was the developers hinting as to what was to come.

The update includes these eggs found “When two Followers love each other very much, they might find an egg.” according to this post on Steam. This procreation feature was asked by the fans. Other updates to the game include a new Follower progression system. With this update, players will be able to invite their most loyal followers into their inner circle of disciples. This progression system also includes more evil done by the followers. A better life will also be available. This will have better brooms and poops (which to an outsider sounds weird, but it is an in-game mechanic important to crop fertilization). More buildings and better buildings are coming with an improved Janitor Station and Storage Structure.
Cult of the Lamb is a game based on building a cult of loyal followers. At the beginning of the game, the player is about to be sacrificed when an unknown deity helps them out and resurrects them. This makes the player loyal to this mysterious deity and they start to serve them. From there, the player’s goal is to go on quests and collect new followers. The player is tasked with building a home base and keeping their followers alive through growing food, holding services, and cleaning up the place (which includes scooping your followers poop off of the ground.) The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch.
