Is it really a Sims 4 pack without it being leaked? Just a day before the Behind the Sims live stream, Twitter User, @LuddySimmer reported that a new Sims Youtube thumbnail has been leaked online. This thumbnail includes the Michaelson Family – a new household that comes with the expansion pack.
According to The Sims 4 EA news page, the Growing Together expansion pack, allows players “to explore that familial bond through various Sim dynamics.” Adding new features like a puzzle table, a tree house, and more gameplay for each generation of the Sims. The developers have also added milestones to the game “which will provide a way of showing players their Sims’ current growth, as well as their lifelong touchstones that continue to impact them as they age,” stated in their newsletter.
The developers have also collaborated with Sims Youtubers, including lilsimsie, Deligracy, and Twitter user dzidziak86, building lots for the new world San Sequoia. Game developer SimGuruFrost hints at more information being released in a Tweet, “So excited to finally see this pack revealed and can’t wait to show you more in our developer livestream on March 3rd!”
However, some fans speculate that the new pack is just the extension of a previous pack, Parenthood. A pack that introduced toddlers into the game. Twitter user TokyoHedgehodS3, states, “I feel like you basically need parenthood, arguably high school years and growing together to have the full experience of generational gameplay.” Raising questions on why all of the game packs were released separately, compared to the Sims 3, where Generations had included most of these features.
Growing Together will be released on March 16, 2023, on Origin, Steam, Xbox, Playstation, and the EA Play app.
