October is here, so it’s time for scares, horror, and, most importantly, horror games. So as the months go on, companies are going to either be announcing new and upcoming horror games or releasing them in the month to capitalize on the mood. And one of those is Serafini Productions, as they just announced a new and upcoming survival horror game, Signal Veil. The game is your classic survival horror focused on psychological terror with a 90s-inspired aesthetic. Though there isn’t a release date yet, Signal Veil will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and wishlisting is available now on your preferred platform.
Signal Veil is an upcoming classic third-person survival horror game by Serafini Productions that focuses on psychological terror and emotional storytelling, with a 90s-inspired aesthetic. The game follows Aki Mizuno, a teenage girl whose mother mysteriously disappears without a trace, leaving behind a final gift: a cellphone with supernatural abilities. Through the phone, Aki encounters creatures born of emotional trauma and hidden memories, all while investigating a series of disappearances and uncovering the truth about herself at Nishikawa High School. The cell phone is your main tool for detecting enemies before they fully manifest, identifying corrupted areas, and revealing clues and signals invisible to the naked eye. It will vibrate, emit strange noises, and display interference when near lingering memories or supernatural entities. The game is a survival horror, so the player must manage resources and inventory, along with Aki’s sanity, as encounters erode it, distorting reality around you.
Signal Veil is your classic third-person survival horror game that hits every beat, so if you enjoy the genre, it’s right up your alley. There is no official release date yet, but I can imagine it won’t be long before more content comes out for the game, so stay tuned for updates. Signal Veil will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and wishlisting is now available on your preferred platform.
