Shueisha Games is bringing a packed lineup of action, adventure, and high-energy competition to PAX West later this week. The Tokyo-based publisher, best known as the video game arm of Japanese manga giant Shueisha, will have five playable titles at booth 525 and a special photo opportunity for fans of its upcoming music adventure sequel NSR2, according to a press release.
The lineup includes the North American debut of OPUS: Prism Peak, a narrative adventure about a weary photographer who finds himself outside reality. Players will explore an ethereal realm and use an old camera to uncover its mysteries while searching for a way home. Anthem#9 will also be available, blending strategic gem matching with roguelite deck-building as players combine gems and activate skills to turn the tide of battle.
Fast-paced action takes center stage with Unyielder, a movement-focused FPS roguelooter with boss rush gameplay. Attendees can test a new demo that lets players assemble an Arsenal of Destruction and face chaotic, over-the-top battles while growing stronger with every victory. Another title making its first North American showing is Atmosfar, a sci-fi survival crafting adventure set among the stars. It supports one to four players and challenges them to scavenge resources, upgrade flying vessels, and uncover the fate of humanity’s most distant outpost while balancing aerial exploration, base building, and ground expeditions.
Rounding out the lineup is Bakudo, described as an ultra-stylish hyperball boss battler. Players take on the role of a new student at a prestigious academy where dodgeball-inspired battles determine the fate of the world. Intense one-on-one matches against powerful rivals hide a larger mystery behind the high-speed action.
“PAX West is a great opportunity for us to connect with our players, and to give them hands-on experiences with our exciting lineup of games,” said Tomoya Tanaka, Global Marketing Manager at Shueisha Games. “We can’t wait for players to check out what we have to offer, and look forward to seeing them at the show later this week.”
