At today’s Yacht Club Games Presents showcase, the indie developer announced the upcoming release of Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX, an enhanced edition of the original Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope. There is no release date set yet, but players can wishlist the game on Steam right now. Yacht Club Games revealed a ton of new features coming with the new edition of Shovel Knight, and you can find a recap of all of them right here:

- Players will be able to choose from a lineup of 20 iconic characters, each with their own unique playstyle, including Shovel Knight, Shield Knight, and the Enchantress.
- Shovel Knight : Shovel of Hope DX is implementing online multiplayer for non-local play with friends worldwide.
- Features from all previous versions of the game will be returning, including Challenge Stages, Custom Knight, and the Battle Ghost Arena.
- The new edition of the game can be played in full Stereoscopic 3D.
- A new rewind feature will allow players to practice their platforming skills.
- A new save state feature will allow players to pause and return to their previous location with ease.
- Over 300 gameplay-altering cheats will be included in the game, and for the first time players will be able to enable them simultaneously.
Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX was not the only big announcement from the Yacht Club Games presents showcase. Starting today on select platforms, the original Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope is receiving a limited-time discount of 50% off. Yacht Club Games also announced two new DLC packs: the Wicked Wishes pack for Shovel Knight DIG and the Paradox Pack for Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of Shovel Knight, Yacht Club Games announced a slew of new merchandise, collaborations, crossovers, and events coming this year, including a Shovel Knight pop-up cafe coming to Anaheim later this week. The showcase also teased two new titles from Yacht Club Games: Mina the Hollower, as well as a new mainline Shovel Knight game. Details on both are scarce for the moment, but Shovel Knight fans can expect plenty of big things on the horizon.
