Video game studios Shapefarm and Kepler Interactive announced their brand new, Switch 2 exclusive game Orbitals during The Game Awards 2025.
Orbitals is an intergalactic two-player co-op game featuring a retro-anime art style. Based on the announcement trailer, the game will also feature Japanese voice overs and English subtitles.
Players will take control of either Maki or Omura as they travel through space, attempting to save their crumbling home from the dangers of a “supernatural cosmic storm.” Orbitals appears to feature a combination of anime-styled 2D cutscenes and 3D gameplay segments. In addition to controlling the characters themselves, players will also be given the ability to occasionally traverse the world via high-tech spaceships.
