The 2020 Game Awards pre-show has been jam packed with new reveals and one of them being Shady Part of Me. The narrative puzzle game tells the story of a girl, scared by any source of light and her shadow. The game from Focus Home Interactive and Douze-Dixièmes is narrated by Game of Thrones star Hannah Murray. It will take players on a journey overcoming emotional struggles littered with twists and turns. According to the game’s official website, the little girl and her shadow “must learn, cooperate and evolve to progress in a poetic journey.”

The trailer revealed at The 2020 Game Awards, shows how players can take control of both the little girl and her shadow, creating an experience that bounces between 3D and 2D gameplay. Players will be able to move objects, control switches, and use machines to create new opportunities for both the girl and her shadow.
