With the reveal came a new trailer, showing a brand new lava filled temple hidden beneath the jungles. In The Forge, player will take on new challenges to complete, so much so they can partner up with a friend and attempt to solve many of the puzzles, making co-op play available for the first time. The addition of playing with someone else is a welcome idea, as the new area appears to have many complex and confusing tests to deal with. In addition, two new challenge modes, Time Attack and Score Attack, are available for players to try out with the new Tomb. Score Attack pits players against one another to see who can rack up the most amount of points in the Tomb, while Time Attack is to see who can finish the Tomb with the fastest time.
On top of that, The Forge will include a new outfit, the Grenadier Skill Brocken Outfit, and a new weapon, the Umbrage 3-80, a rifle with a grenade launcher attachment. The Forge is the first of seven, yes seven, DLC’s planned for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. All of them will be available to anyone who owns the Season Pass, as well as anyone who wishes to make the purchases separately.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: The Forge will launch tomorrow, November 13, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can check out the reveal trailer here:
