Seven: The Days Long Gone Gets a New Combat Gameplay Trailer

In the days leading up to Seven: The Days Long Gone‘s launch, developers IMGN.PRO and Fool’s Theory have posted a series of trailers showcasing Seven‘s gameplay. Earlier this month, a trailer debuted featuring the game’s main stealth mechanic. Yesterday, a trailer focusing on combat was posted, giving players an idea of what will happen when sneaking around fails.

According to a press release from the developers, “You play as Teriel, a master thief. As a master thief, players must sneak around, leveraging environment and lighting, smoke screens, traps, using parkour skills and the climbing system to avoid detection. But sometimes, even the most carefully laid plans fail. What happens when Teriel cannot talk his way out of a tight spot? Then he must let the steel do the talking. Teriel can use one-handed, two-handed, dual wielded, range, and energy weapons as well as some devious contraptions crafted by his own hands.”

Players will be able to utilize a number of combat strategies: fight light and fast with daggers, keep combat ranged using a spear, and go in hard with an ax, to list a few. You can watch the full combat trailer below:

You can also check out Seven‘s previous trailer on stealth, which gives players a look at how to become a master thief, avoid traps and obstacles, and exploit their surroundings “by moving vertically and horizontally” through the game’s climbing system. The video before that, a trailer focusing on movement and traversal, was revealed alongside news that the game had gone gold. Both trailers can be watched below.

Seven: The Days Long Gone will be launching in just a couple of days, on December 1st, for PC. Pre-Orders are available through the Humble Store now.

In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
