Square Enix and co-developer NHN PlayArt have opened a new season for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, bringing Final Fantasy VII’s Sephiroth into the free-to-play 3v3 team boss battle arena game as its first limited-time character. The season, titled “A Planet in Peril,” is live now on iOS and Android and will remain available until June 30 at 3:59 AM UTC.
Sephiroth can be unlocked through the current Character Featured Draw. The draw features increased drop rates for six Sephiroth Outfits. A separate Featured Draw is also available with boosted rates for six abilities connected to the season: Super Nova, Octaslash, Oblivion, Hell’s Gate, Aerith/Planet’s Protection, and Tifa/Falling Crane. The season also adds more rewards for players who participate in battle. By earning Season Points in Season Rank Battles and Casual Battles, players can obtain Sephiroth’s Style “Advent of Glory.” The Season Pass adds another Sephiroth Style, “Operative of Legend,” to its rewards. Two new main story chapters are included in the update as well. “The Comet’s Gift” and “The Savior’s Plan” arrive alongside Sephiroth and the aforementioned Final Fantasy VII-related seasonal additions.

Outside of the main seasonal rewards, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy has also added a one-time Regular Character Selectable Ability Draw. The draw lets players choose one regular roster character and claim a four-ability set for that character, including two UR abilities. The eligible pool covers the 16 standard characters who have been available since April 28, 2026. The draw can only be used once.

An Invite a Friend Event is active until the season’s end date. Players can share an Invitation Code, and when an invited friend opens the game through that code, special missions become available for both players. Each inviting player can invite up to three friends, with rewards totaling a maximum of 9,999 MogPay Points. A Login Bonus campaign is also running throughout the same period. Players who log in during the season can receive items such as Draw Tickets and Growth Eggs.
