Second Beta Release for Battlefield Hardline Coming Soon

Update 1/29: Officially confirmed today that Battlefield Hardline Open Beta will be available starting February 3rd and closes February 8th. You do not need to register or sign up to get in on the action. This beta will be open to all platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. Please visit the Battlefield Hardline website for more details.

OP: Battlefield fans don’t have much longer to wait for the series next installment Battlefield: Hardline scheduled for official release on March 17th. The game originally scheduled to launch this past fall was pushed back due to poor feedback from the first beta. With the games official launch date only weeks away, Steve Papoutis General Manager and VP of Visceral Games has penned an open letter addressing several changes that will be available for preview in Hardline’s second beta.

The new beta will again feature the cops and robbers multiplayer, but with new revisions added since beta’s original release.

We learned a ton from you in the first beta, enough to help us make the tough call to push the game back so we could add more and make the game better. And now as we’re getting closer to launch, we want more.

Changes made to the game include re-shaping Heists mode, visual recoil and gaming progression. In the developer video above, you can see developers are very focused on player feedback to create the best gaming experience for Hardline. Papoutis highly encourages players to share their thoughts with the upcoming beta “for the final touches before the launch.”

While the letter stated that the second beta’s release wouldn’t be announced until tomorrow one Reddit user seems to have already leaked the potential launch date as being February 3rd. Also vg247 reported the same February date taken from the Xbox Live Marketplace when Hardline popped up for Xbox 360, the link confirming the information has since been removed from the Xbox website.

I wouldn’t say that February 3rd is the official release date for the open beta just yet, but it can’t be a coincidence that two separate sources were able to get the same launch date. Once the official date is confirmed, we will update this article accordingly.

Battlefield Hardline is scheduled for release on March 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC Windows.
