PlayStation has announces the top download charts for May 2024, and the game that has repeatedly come on the top of PlayStation 5 charts in multiple regions, Sea of Thieves.
According to the PlayStation Blog post, Sea of Thieves rose to top the download charts of the PlayStation 5 in the United States, Canada and Europe. The feat is likely thanks to it coming to the PlayStation 5 on April 30, after previously being an Xbox-exclusive title. In second and third place was Madden NFL 24 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for US/Canada and Grand Theft Auto V and F1 24 in Europe.
Released in 2018, Sea of Thieves is a massively multiplayer online action-adventure game developed by Rare. Players can venture off alone or with friends across a vast open-world as pirates with their own unique ships across the high seas.
Players can find underwater treasure, take on quests and other players in this interconnected world. Additionally, the ongoing free updates keeps the content within the game fresh, and gameplay experiences exciting.
PlayStation also revealed the May 2024 download charts for other PlayStation platforms. Minecraft topped the PlayStation 4 download charts, and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition topped the PlayStation VR 2 charts.
Sea of Thieves is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Sea of Thieves is also now available on the Nvidia GeForce Now.
