A recent trailer for Dungeons and Dragons-inspired Neverwinter, developed by California-based Cryptic Studios, Inc., showcases a new character, the Scourge Warlock. The fighter will be released alongside “Tyranny of Dragons,” the upcoming fourth expansion pack for the game.
The eldritch mage will be released for free in coordinance with the aforementioned expansion on Aug. 11 of this year. The character will be introduced with a new ‘curse’ mechanic and use magic to debuff, summon, and damage. According to a release from the game’s publisher, Perfect World Entertainment, the character will come in handy when facing new enemies and challenges.
Alongside the Scourge Warlock’s announcement, “Season of Dragons” is being implemented. Season of Dragons is a promotion that holds in-game and social media events, as well as more announcements for the game.
