Once set to come out in August 2021, Scorn has been delayed according to Ebb Software Kickstarter page, and with little to no info about why is making some fans not happy. When you first look at Scorn you will see an atmospheric video game that is used as a first-person horror story set in a nightmarish world full of odd forms and a somber tapestry. In the waiting period, let’s talk about what we know about the game. Mature contact warning this game is not for the younger audience as it may contain violence, gore, and some sexual content.
With Scorn, you are thrown into a world full of puzzles and its own theme. The game will get you to feel isolated and lost as you explore interconnected regions in whichever order you decide is best for you. One thing that will make you scratch your head is that the game will have zero cut-scenes, making sure you will not be distracted and probably forcing you to read everything you find. Say that you miss an important item, get ready to start backtracking as it promises not to show you any sympathy on your journey.
Gaining weapons, various items, and different skills set Scorn will alter how you play video games. Now with full-body awareness makes for a more immersive game throughout its long playtime. Scorn makes the character know where their body is and the movement of said body, actually picking up objects with the hand not just floating in midair. Like most games in the survival game genre, inventory and ammo management should be the first thing on your mind as knowing when to fight and when to hide is the key to living or dying. Keep an ear out as there is rumored to be some sort of official announcement on December 10.
