It looks like another apparent leak is making its rounds around the internet. This time it’s one of Nintendo’s most popular IPs, Fire Emblem. According to a post by well-known video game aficionado Emily Rogers on Famiboards, a brand new unannounced entry in the franchise is not only in the works but is essentially almost complete as well. Rogers also stated that this is an entirely new story, not a remake of an older entry. This information was leaked not too long before some images of the project were also leaked onto a number of different sites before being taken down just today.

While we won’t spoil anything with the aforementioned screenshots here, Rogers does go into some detail on the images as well as the title. The image contains the supposed main character and has both blue and red hair, and according to Rogers is the child of a dragon. Rogers also explains that the title is a collaboration between mainline developer Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo, and Gust, which is a division within Koei themselves. Gust is also assisting with the visuals, and will have vastly improved graphics from the previous entry, Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Rogers also explains that the title was originally intended to be part of the Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary celebration, but was put on hold for unexplained reasons. However, because of the original time frame, the game has apparently “been finished for over a year.” Lastly, Rogers states that the title will have a new gimmick where you can summon “FE characters from the past” and use them in your squad. This is a good amount of information from one leak, which was further emphasized by the images that were spread around the internet earlier today. This also further fuels the ongoing rumor that Nintendo is readying up a new Nintendo Direct for later this month. At some point, something is going to give, and it’s most likely going to be Nintendo whenever they’re ready and willing to share new information with us. Hopefully, that moment is coming soon.
