According to an announcement on Rockstar’s own Rockstar Newswire, two editions of Grand Theft Auto V are now available for pre-order. You can read their release here. Rockstar has announced a “Collector’s Edition” and a “Special Edition”. The Special Edition will include a number of both virtual and real goodies for the die-hard fan of the series: a book of game artwork, a blueprint-styled map of the game world, buffs to in-game character special abilities,
added flight challenges for extra fun with aircraft, added player decorations (clothes, tattoos, etc.), and extra weapons are available from AmmuNation stores in-game for free. The Collector’s Edition includes everything that the Special Edition includes, but adds a locking security deposit bag, a Los Santos baseball cap, added online character options, and a special single-player property and vehicle.
The pre-order bonus is a flyable Atomic blimp.
You know, because who doesn’t love lazing around the San Andreas skies in a dirigible?
Grand Theft Auto V is the seventh distinct game in the GTA series, and the fifth in its familiar third-person incarnation. Revisiting the locale of Grand Theft Auto San-Andreas (a fictionalized version of California), V is the first of the GTA games to offer multiple playable characters in a single game. Grand Theft Auto IV had added playable single-player stories to the campaign via DLC, but V has a single interwoven three-character main story right out of the box.
Grand Theft Auto V is scheduled to ship September 17, 2013, so pre-orders will be open up until that date.
