Psyonix is claiming that this is the largest “in the game’s history,” as it introduces the beginning of Season 3 for competitive gamers, a more in depth drop system with improved rare and very rare items, new customization options for social play, post-game dances and more.
Once the update drops the developer will release two new hyper cars, the Esper and Masamune, take a look at the screenshot below to see the two new cars. RL collectors edition owners will receive these new rides June 24 in North America and July 5 in Europe. Everyone else will have to wait a week or two after.
This update is set to continue to showcase Rocket League‘s ever growing community as well as engage players who have been with the franchise since the beginning last fall. If RL continues to push content like this, gamers everywhere can expect a bright future of engagement and excitement from the game and developer. With real life soccer in full swing this summer it seems that virtual race car soccer is also ready to engage the masses.
Go get those goals.
