Rocket League Receiving Loot Crates Similar To CS:GO

The immensely popular hit, Rocket League, is adding a new core system to its gameplay. RL is getting those infamous loot crates. Similar to that of Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Psyonix recently said on Reddit that players should not worry, as they will not be endorsing item gambling.

Recently discovered by a user on Reddit, Rocket League’s new crates are to be included in an upcoming update to the game. Once this information was released, people all around the world speculated that Psyonix would be allowing players to get and use items of different rarity.

Crates will contain cosmetic content only. We have a strict don’t sell advantage policy for Rocket League and we are sticking with that.

This quote comes from Psyonix Vice President, Jeremy Dunham. Rocket League’s crates will not be in league with Valve’s Steam Marketplace, as this marketplace has seemingly been ridiculed and tormented by gambling and other malicious practices. RL players should be relieves to know that Psyonix will not be forcing players to adopt the item drop system.

Rocket League will continue to introduce free arenas, modes and items, as well as, paid DLCs. It seems the developers of Rocket League are listening to their community as they have this past year and granting multiple options for their players who either want an item drop system or simply want to play the game without any of that jazz.

The item drop system is expected to revolutionize the way RL is played and it seems that everybody is responding positively to it.

Go get those goals!
