Rocket Arena Announced And Closed Beta Soon To Follow

The art style of Fortnite isn’t seen in many games that focus on gun play or some kind of competitive combat. But Nexon and Final Strike Games’ Rocket Arena looks like it’s going to have that fun artistic feel while incorporating intense and unique multiplayer combat. The Beta that is launching on May 23 looks like it will also be acting similarly to how some titles are available and in an Early Access stage of development. The Closed Beta will end on May 29.

The reveal trailer for Rocket Arena shows that thankfully Final Strike is not bringing gamers another Battle Royale into a saturated genre. Instead, the multiplayer aspect will be tighter with three on three battles and four game modes available. In the Knockout mode each player will start with 3 badges and must launch opponents from the stage 3 times with either rockets or abilities. Rocketball will pit teams against each other in a fight over the game ball that must be scored into the other team’s goal. The Mega Rocket mode ups the mayhem, giving players large rockets to call from the sky to create capture zones. Opponents should be kept away from the zones in order to win the game. Lastly, Rocketbot Attack is the cooperative mode where players can take on waves of AI, horde bots.

The World of Crater should make for some thrilling battles once Rocket Arena is fully released, taking players into many diverse regions such as barren deserts, thick jungles, icy fronts, tropical coasts, futuristic cities, and even underwater. As far as characters are concerned, there will be 6 starting characters to choose from that each have 3 special abilities. Some of the contestants like Amphora will equip explosive mines and torpedos while others like Izell will use rockets with more utility and speed.

Rocket Arena has no official release date set, but will be available on the Xbox One and Steam store.
