In Rise Of The Slime, players will journey across multiple levels each with its own themes such as mystical gardens, lakes of fire, and swamplands. The game features a unique puppet aesthetic, with the player and the various enemies being pictures on sticks. Players will collect over a hundred different magical cards that they can use to defend and fight back against hordes of monsters. Cards can have different effects such as arming the Slime with acid, fire, or sharp iron. Each playthrough of Rise Of The Slime is different as the routes will change, and players will be able to make use of different gameplay mutators in order to keep the game new and fresh. Players who enjoy other deck-building roguelike games such as Slay The Spire should definitely give Rise Of The Slime a look.
Rise Of The Slime will launch May 20 on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles, as well as on PC through Steam. Those who are interested in the game are currently able to purchase while it is still in its early access stage for $14.99. Those who are unsure about whether the game is for them are also able to download Rise Of The Slime: Prologue, which is a free demo of the game that gives players a taste of the game’s first area.
