A new game mode is heading towards League of legends. According to Riot Games, the game new mode revealed Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad will be available to play during the in-game summer Anima Squad event. League of Legends game director Pu Liu shared his excitement at the game mode’s impending release. “At the start of the year, we talked about creating fun, new ways to enjoy ‘League of Legends,’ and we’re really excited to introduce Swarm to players during this summer’s Anima Squad event,” said Liu. “We’re very proud of the team’s work, and hope that Swarm will bring players a lot of laughs and fun times with friends old and new.”
According to the press release, Anima Squad is a popular skin mainly composed of “cybernetic, animal-themed, super-powered” versions of champions. Anima Squad first debut in 2022.
Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad game mode is a co-op survival bullet heaven game that features the return of Anima Squad versions of popular champions.
A party of up to 3 players are set loose within a brand new map of Final City under a time limit, where they have to complete as many missions and destroy enemies as they can. Players can even unlock and permanently “strengthen themselves” and their weapons by purchasing Power Ups after each match.
