In recent events, Riot Games has been pulling out some major changes within its platform with new gaming events and exciting stuff coming to their games. Now Riot Games continues on with the new releases with League of Legends State of Skins and Event happening. The team at Product Lead for Personalization and Events gives a complete walkthrough on their current thinking about skins and events.
On the official League of Legends website, they discussed the upcoming events happening. “One of the things we promised to do this year was to include a game mode alongside every major event. We’re still on track to hit this, with the latest game mode being One-For-All alongside PsyOps. We’ll be talking more deeply about our approach to game modes in a/dev blog later this year.”
They continued, “We also created an out of game experience, Spirit Bonds, that allowed you to engage deeply with the narrative of your favorite champs. Whether it was getting to know Lamb and Wolf better, or ‘silently’ hoping that Cassiopeia would crush your bones, we saw a huge positive response to this system.”
With the skins coming out this year, the developers are delighted to let fans know that they are still on track to hit their target of 120 skins even though development slowed down due to the global pandemic. The League of Legends team will be looking like they will be going to be able to exceed their goal and hit close to 140 skins by the end of 2020.
When it comes to their Ultimate skins, developers notice that the skins fantasies that they were working on didn’t think it can be effectively accomplished within the timebox of an Epic or even a Legendary tier skin. Most of the time the team comes up with ideas that may require a lot more time and effort to achieve it.
