Riot Games, known for their game League of Legends (LoL), has announced new additions to the LoL franchise. Revealed through a teaser on their Youtube page, three new games will be released in 2023; The Mageseeker will be released in the spring for consoles and PC, Conv/rgence will be released in the summer, and Song of Nunu will be released in the fall.
The first game being showcased is the Song of Nunu, a single-player adventure game. Song of Nunu will be an open-world game that also includes three champions from League of Legends: Nunu, Willump, and Lissandra. Developers give insight into the game, “venture into the idyllic but treacherous world of the Freljord as Nunu, a young boy on a quest to find his lost mother. Unearth the secrets, myths, and legends buried deep in the frozen tundra alongside your best friend, a wise and playful yeti named Willump, and unfold an inspiring story one puzzle at a time.”
Riot Games has also revealed two new games that are in active development. Conv/rgence and The Mageseeker. The developers released the trailer in 2019 for Conv/rgence. What has been revealed so far is that it involves the LoL champion Ekko and two locations: Piltover and Zaun. The developers had described the game in the trailer “Players will explore the spectacular world of Zaun as Ekko, a young inventor with an ingenious device to manipulate time. Follow Ekko’s journey, a fan-favorite LoL Champion, as he discovers that the power to change time comes with many consequences.” Conv/gence and The Mageseeker are both 2D pixelated style games and will be single-player. The Mageseeker has few details in the trailer. However, its main character seems to be a dupe for DOTA 2’s hero Anti Mage.
Song of Nunu is confirmed to be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games, Xbox, and PlayStation. Conv/rgence is confirmed to be released on Steam but does not yet mention any other platforms. There is no information yet on The Mageseeker.
