Twitter users who attended TwitchCon 2022 have recounted multiple instances of staff allegedly mismanaging and belittling persons with disabilities by not maintaining accessibility lines for wheelchairs. According to Twitter user phantomils ✩˚,⋆who compiled another list of instances, alleged that the lines were so mismanaged that people were trampling over each other and fainting. Coinciding with the long lines, panels inside the convention halls were allegedly ill equipped to deal with the amount of people attending. There were also instances of misconduct among fans, with streamers being hounded by fans camping outside of the venue and even Megan The Stallion being harassed by a fan that jumped on stage.

Regardless, the main controversy that had everyone’s attention was the foam pit at Lenovo Legion’s booth. This pit caused numerous amounts of injuries to those who unfortunately decided to jump into it due to how it was constructed. Amongst the many injuries, however, two female streamers had by far the most severe injuries. As confirmed by Buzzfeed News, Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik broke her back in two places after jumping into the pit. Like many of the other injuries, the horrible incident was caught on camera.
Probably the most painful thing I’ve seen in awhile. Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik has confirmed broken her back in two separate places following this jump at TwitchCon pic.twitter.com/QdojGn5UtG

The second critical injury occurred to Twitch streamer LochVaness, whose recorded fall into the foam pit caused a dislocated knee and sprained her ankle.
Be careful on this thing guys. I’m currently at the hospital seeing if I broke anything. https://t.co/SNHHl5XZEE

“I will never trust Twitch at another convention in my entire life,” said LockVaness on her Twitter account.
It doesn’t seem that far-fetched to believe that there will be lawsuits filed against Twitch based on the severity of these injuries. There has yet to be an answer from Twitch regarding their handling of all the unfortunate incidents at the convention. However, even then, it is unlikely that it will be enough to quell the anger that has built up in the past month.
