Stormind Games‘ Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy dropped their long awaited Release Date Trailer on YouTube earlier today. The game will be released October 27th, on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2, Epic Games Store, and Gog.com via the trailer. The dev team also released a message on Steam celebrating the release date, they also promise “frequent updates, new reveals, behind-the-scenes content, and plenty of surprises as we get closer to launch.“
The Release date trailer starts with a grotesque childbirth scene, someone’s legs are open while a placenta and water drops down. The “Red Nun” turns her head 180 degrees clockwise towards the screen and she faces viewers while shrouded in darkness, suddenly, Susan wakes up and stumbles back. Susan breathes “Oh, she’s alive.” As the developers logo and short descriptions play, before the trailer turns back to Susan. She’s walking in a dark computer room, where pictures are hung, and one of those pictures is her daughter “Agatha,” while clips of black and grey wearing nuns starting to move are shown in between. As Susan holds the picture, it’s juxtaposed with the Red nun screaming while holding a knife poised to strike.
The trailer then switches to landscape views, as it shows the Villa, with its interior tapestry, knight decorations, an active volcano, wolf statues, and empty hallways. A woman is seen smoking a cigarette, she informs Susan, “If you see a nun dressed in red…Run.” The trailer then switches to gameplay clips, as Susan moves around a room full of portraits, a few black “moths,” and a suspicious looking doctor’s chair. The trailer switches to first person black and white view as Susan looks at a dresser. It turns back to third person viewing, as Susan walks into a room with a wall that shows four pictures: a pregnant looking woman, a snake, a bloody ghost and a priest. Susan runs in the hallway, black moths following her as she runs, until she finds a human sized cocoon hanging from the ceiling. She walks in a hallway full of vines and a few flowers, before entering another room, then a woman wearing a bride’s dress with a pregnant belly shoots black moths out of her mouth. Susan uses a walker to hit one nun in one room, in another room, a different nun hits the walker out of her hand, and strikes her again. The same nun uses her hair to throw Susan to the ground and aims to kill.
The trailer cuts to Susan and the man that might be her husband, he’s trying to dissuade her from entering the Villa, but Susan instead asks him to “come with me.” As they speak, juxtapositions of the veiled pregnant woman dragging someone (likely Susan) by their leg appears. The trailer ends with the Red nun looking straight at viewers as fire spreads behind her.
