As games announced in 2025 begin to release and players get the chance to experience new titles, a door is opened for the later games of 2026 to be explored in greater detail. One of these games is the action roguelike Reloadian. Developed and published by Bucketplay Inc., it just dropped a new teaser trailer for gamers to get a sense of what the game is about. Although the trailer is only a minute long, it included a wealth of information, including how multiplayer will look like and what the game’s fast-paced combat will play like.
Like many successful roguelikes before it, Reloadian places an emphasis on gameplay and how the experience can be made completely different based on the circumstances of each playthrough. Due to the flexible nature of the genre, it is able to combine with the 2D action genre to create something that enhances both parts. To emphasize this, the new trailer shows off some of the bosses that players will encounter and be forced to battle using their abilities and mastery of the fast-paced combat. In addition, the trailer shows off a few secrets such as dropping through a floor that offer upgrades and encourage being thorough.
Another aspect of the game is the card system by which players come by the various weapons and abilities has to offer. In some cases, players will have the ability to choose between multiple options, giving some control over each run. After that, equipment can be swapped out to lead to different combos or dodging abilities for different fights. A few more details can be found on the Steam store page, including information about the 3-player co-op mode. The trailer ends with the death of the main character, prompting the start of another run.
Reloadian has had a promising showing in the eyes of many fans. It is set to release in 2026, when players will have the chance to test it for themselves.
