Just today, Nintendo revealed the release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3. In no surprise, the third game in the spooky series will release this Halloween. Luigi’s Mansion is a branching game series in the Mario Universe in which the titular character is not Mario, as it is in most other games, but Luigi. Each game features Luigi, the brother of Mario, exploring a number of spooky locations. Every Luigi’s Mansion equips the player with a powerful vacuum cleaner known as the Poltergust that allows you to capture ghosts, as well as a plethora of other inventions created by the ingenious Professor E. Gadd, who helps the player by providing them various tools to assist them in catching ghosts and finding Luigi’s brother.
When Luigi’s friends go missing on vacation, it’s up to our reluctant hero to save them from the ghosts in the Last Resort hotel! Luigi’s Mansion 3 will have two playable characters, Luigi, and his ectoplasmic clone Gooigi, as well as several other new features. The game will have a multiplayer challenge mode known as ScareScraper Mode that will have you face off against ghosts, toads, and new floors. The game will also feature an online co-op mode and a timed challenge.
However, it is unknown if the online mode will be free or with the purchase of Nintendo Switch Online membership. The hotel has seventeen floors to explore and a number of boss-like ghosts that hold the keys to your egress. Equipped with the latest Poltergust G-00, it is up to you to save your brother and the Princess in Luigi’s Mansion 3. The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch and will be released on October 31st, 2019. You can also check out our hands on impression of the game from E3
