The classic tale of Through the Looking-Glass takes on a whole new shape. Journey into a fantasy-inspired world beyond that of reality. Developed by Cococumber, Ravenlok is an action-adventure role-playing game where players play as Ravenlok. It is the final installment in the studio’s voxel trilogy. After moving into her new home, she wanders off into the barn where she encounters a strange mirror. Upon further inspection, the magic reveals itself to be magical and Ravenlok falls into it, transporting her to a realm of fantasy. Designed in 3D pixel art in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second, this new trailer gives a sneak peek at the colorful lands of Ravenlok.
After stumbling through the looking-glass, Ravenlok finds herself in lands terrorized by the evil Caterpillar Queen. As her minions wreak havoc across the lands, Ravenlok travels to defeat them. In the trailer, she first encounters a robotic dragon-esque creature. She is then seen battling other boss monsters. The game’s combat system is a hack-and-slash with melee attacks and a magic system. Ravenlok is able to cast fire and ice spells after finishing a combo with her sword. There will be usable items as well to use as offenses such as the ice bomb that was used to slow down a boss monster. She will also have a shield with her for defense. While traveling, there will be puzzles that will need solving in order to continue. There is customization options available for wardrobe as seen on the trailer Ravenlok will have a variety of accessories you can customize with.
Ravenlok is slated to be released May 4th, 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Players can pre-order the bundle starting April 20th that comes with the full game and an exclusive Raven Wings Helmet.
