On Nov 21 of this year, the number of players playing this game was 36,617, after that things started to take off for the game. By November 24th the number bloomed to 64,107. And when November 26th arrived the number of players playing Red Dead Redemption II on Steam skyrocketed to 77,335. In November of 2022, the number of players playing Red Dead Redemption II rose to 66,113 and peaked at 70,787 in January of 2023. It’s clear that Steam players can’t get enough of this game. Since its release in 2018, Red Dead Redemption II has sold “57 million units”.

Back in 2018 when Red Dead Redemption II was first released it raked in more than “725 million dollars in worldwide sales“. It became the “second” largest “opening weekend” in the history of entertainment. The game Grand Theft Auto V is number one in this category racking in 1 billion dollars when it was released in 2013.

Currently, Red Dead Redemption II is #10 on Steam’s Top Sellers list while the #1 spot went to Steam Deck. The game was also #28 on the most-played list and the #1 spot on this list went to Counter-Strike 2.
