Red Dead Redemption II PC Trailer Shows Off Stunning Visuals at 60 FPS and 4K

Red Dead Redemption II is officially coming to PC in just couple of weeks, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. The game has been out for nearly a year on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It already looked amazing on just the consoles alone, so just how good will it look on modern gaming PC’s? We found out today as Rockstar Games uploaded a brand new trailer showcasing just how beautiful the title looks when performing at full capacity.

In their newswire post, the company states that the game is indeed running at a brisk 60 frames per second with 4k resolution in the trailer. It may only be a minute long video, but we just needed to watch it once to know that Rockstar isn’t messing around with this port. According to the company, the PC enhancements will include “Increased draw distances, improved shadows and lighting, new grass and fur textures, and much more – complemented by a host of exciting new content additions for the game’s Story Mode.”

While Read Dead Redemption II blows our minds away with it’s technical prowess, it’s important to remember that not all PC’s will be able to run it like this. The requirements though, which can be found here, aren’t all that intimidating in terms of being able to at least play it. Even the recommended section isn’t too far off from what most modern titles use today. With that in mind, it will still take that extra push of a high end graphics card, combined with a powerful processor, to maintain the 60 FPS.

Then there’s the 150GB Hard Disk Drive Space necessity that may or may not be a deal breaker for those who can’t sacrifice that high amount on their system. Not to mention that in order to achieve that sweet 4k you’ll need an actual monitor that supports it, or can at least upscale to it. Still, it’s very exciting to see that the game is able to get up to those desirable frames, as well as those aesthetically pleasing visuals.

Red Dead Redemption II launches for PC on November 5 through the recently announced Rockstar Games Launcher and the Epic Games Store, with a Steam release planned for later this year in December. If you pre order the game through Rockstar’s Launcher by October 22 then you’ll get two classic Rockstar game for free as well as additional bonuses for the Story Mode and Read Dead Online.
