Set at the end of the Wild West, Red Dead Redemption 2 follows the story of Arthur Morgan, an outlaw on the run with his gang from federal agents and bounty hunters after a burglary gone wrong.
Players will take the reigns of Morgan and aid him and his game through the heartland of America as frictions threaten to tear the group apart. Following its initial launch in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 gained wide acclaim for its breath taking visuals, lovable characters and heart stopping action. In it’s opening weekend the game generated a whopping $725 million USD in sales. Red Dead Redemption 2 also made records for the highest video game budget, at $137 Million USD.
Hopefully with this record Rockstar will shift it’s eyes back towards the franchise, considering that many fans believe the franchise was abandoned by the developer. Granted, with focus currently on GTA 6, it’s unlikely that the Red Dead Redemption franchise will see anything new in the near future.
Those that are interested in playing it can pick up Red Dead Redemption 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
