QuakeCon 2020 Schedule Released

Earlier this month, QuakeCon 2020 was announced to be a digital event due to COVID-19. QuakeCon At Home will take place from August 7-9. The event will be presented through a global super stream featuring a full weekend of nonstop live content including celebrity influencer streams, live concerts, charity fundraising, developer panels, and more. The full schedule for the event has been released.

Starting on Friday, August 7 at 12 PM ET, the QuakeCon Digital Welcome with Pete Hines kicks things off. Following that will be a Representation in Video Games panel discussion. This takes place at 5 PM ET. At 6 PM ET is Prey Tell, an interview with Actress Janina Gavankar and Lead Producer Susan Kath. Friday ends with a Doom Eternal Panel with Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton taking place at 7: 30 PM ET.

On Saturday, August 8 the stream will include CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story Podcast- QuakeCon at Home Edition at 3 PM ET. At 6 PM ET is Dishonored Tabletop RPG featuring Arkane Studios’ Harvey Smith. The last thing scheduled for Saturday is an ESO stream with Top UFC Middleweight Rob Whittaker starting at 11 PM ET.

The last day of QuakeCon, Sunday, August 9 starts at 8 AM ET with Fallout 76: Global Community Team Free Play. Then, at 1 PM ET, Dishonored Tabletop continues. At  5 PM ET will be the Quake World Championship – Grand Finals. The last event is a playthrough of The Evil Within by Poiisedstarting at 9 PM ET.

Once the event starts, a number of free games and in-game loot giveaways will be available over the course of the weekend. Throughout the weekend of QuakeCon, Quake will be free on the Bethesda launcher. If donations to the various charity initiatives reach $10,000, then a free copy of Quake II will be available to get on the Bethesda launcher after the event. If you watch any of the ESO streams during QuakeCon, then you will get the Flame Attronach Pony pet and Ouroboros Crown Crates. Available until August 11, Doom Eternal players can access a free in-game QuakeCon Slayer Skin,  Icon, and Player Badge across all platforms. In Quake Champions, players can claim the exclusive QuakeCon 2020 Railgun Skin. Lastly, players can get the Fallout 76 Sheepsquatch Outfit and Mr. Fuzzy Backpack Demonic Variants across all platforms from the Atomic Shop. The free in-game items will be available all weekend.

There are also giveaways from some of QuakeCon’s partners. Prizes include a Fallout and Doom themed gaming chair from noblechairs, a custom Doom Eternal Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, a number of Razer Peripheral Prize Packages, four Alienware 410K keyboards, a SteelSeries Ultimate Peripheral Prize pack with an Apex Pro keyboard, a Arctis Pro headset, and a Rival 650 Wireless mouse, ViewSonic Elite Gaming Monitors and Portable Projectors, and prizes from Corsair, Elgato, and Origin consisting of a keyboard, mouse, mousepad, headset, Origin PC, Elgato streamdeck, keylight, and a cam link and wave microphone.
