QuakeCon 2018 Expected To Be the Best One Yet

With QuakeCon only three months away, the details of the event were finally revealed a couple of days ago. Year by year, QuakeCon strives to be bigger and better than the year before, but this time, QuakeCon 2018 is promised to be “the best one yet.”

To start off, QuakeCon 2018 confidently vows to provide all-day fun because the exhibit hall will be “open all day from Friday through Sunday.” This is a great introduction into their 23rd annual event, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The keynote address will make a comeback this year, discussing the “latest scoop” on Bethesda, also known as the creators of the brilliant Dishonored and The Evil Within games.

But the most exciting revelation of all is definitely the return of the Quake Champions who will “once again descend on Dallas to face-off live on-stage, this time in the QuakeCon Open, with $200,000 on the line.” To witness these tournaments, attendees will need to purchase the minimum priced ticket of $75, or higher to be granted access to additional upgrades. Available upgrades are listed on the QuakeCon website. Fans who wish to participate in the BYOC (bring your own computer) event are implored to purchase a ticket listed at the minimum price. So even though they may not be equipped with all the upgrades QuakeCon offers, they will at least have a promised seat at the event. In addition, QuakeCon has revived their famous swag bag packed with exclusive items ranging from an air freshener to an inflatable rocket launcher. To obtain the QuakeCon limited addition swag bag, fans will have a chance to pre-order the pack for $150.

Fans have a plethora of excitement to prepare for, and it is pleasing to say that they will be able to experience the entire QuakeCon 2018 event at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention from Thursday August 9th-Sunday August 12th. Followers of the event are absolutely ecstatic for QuakeCon 2018 since the latest update, however no other information has been revealed that expands into further detail. But QuakeCon assures fans that they “will announce further details on registration availability soon.”
