Publisher EDGLRD and developer quicktequila have announced that psychedelic FPS TAMASHIKA will launch on April 10, 2026 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A new trailer was released today alongside the announcement, offering a fresh look at the game’s surreal, corridor-based gameplay.
TAMASHIKA casts players as a rogue spirit navigating an ever-shifting labyrinth armed with just two weapons: a semi-auto pistol and a tantō blade. Combat is built around simplicity, stripping away loadouts and upgrades in favor of pure skill. Navigating each run requires quick reflexes and tight execution, as the corridors are packed with traps and enemies that punish distraction. Each run clocks in at approximately 10 minutes, making it easy to pick up and play without a large time commitment.
One of the game’s most distinctive features is its daily labyrinth system. Each day, the game pulls from a pool of over 300 handcrafted level pieces, assembling them into a brand new configuration every 24 hours. Because the layout follows a fixed daily pattern, returning players can begin to recognize structures, uncover secrets, and refine their runs. Top performers can compete on global leaderboards, racing to master that day’s specific rhythm before it resets.
The game features hand-drawn animations set against a shifting rainbow psychedelic aesthetic, designed to immerse players in what the developers describe as a dreamscape. Developer Vidhvat Madan of quicktequila, whose previous title was Lovely Planet, has spoken publicly about the game’s multi-year, multi-country development journey, which included well-received demo at Steam Next Fest 2025. The demo featured daily leaderboards where the top three players each day won limited-edition TAMASHIKA shirts.
TAMASHIKA marks the first video game published by EDGLRD, a Miami-based creative studio founded by filmmaker Harmony Korine, known for projects spanning film, music, fashion, and experimental media. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam ahead of its April 10 launch.
