Project Scorpio, Microsoft’s newest console was announced in 2016 during E3, and It is widely expected that Microsoft will have a lot more news to share about the new console at E3 this year. The console is set to arrive this holiday season, and as of recent news the company is making great strides to meet that release window. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has assured to fans that Project Scorpio’s schedule “looks very good.”
When asked on Twitter whether or not there was to be a change to the console’s release date Spencer stated that “the schedule looks very good right now, no issues.” This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as Spencer actually gave an update in October stating that the console is “a little ahead of plan” according to hardware timelines.
Microsoft has yet to announce an official release date for Project Scorpio. The only thing that is known is that the console is planned for release this holiday season. There has been quite a bit of new information revealed about the powerful new system in the past recent weeks. The console’s dev kit was shown off and the visual improvements were also displayed through a new image. These updates have shown fans how the console will improve the quality of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games.
The next likely place that Microsoft is expected to reveal more information about Project Scorpio is at this year’s E3 in June if not within the next coming weeks. In other news there was a recent report that Sony might be planning on releasing a next generation console in 2018.
