Since back in June 2013, Sony announced that their sci-fi FPS MMO, PlanetSide 2 would be headed to the PS4. Originally was announced back in October 2013 that it would be released in early 2014, though it looks like it has been pushed and still no solid date has been given just yet. PlanetSide 2 will be making its PlayStation 4 debut at E3 next month, but in preparation before the event, executive producer Clint Worley has shared new images on his Twitter for the game. The game has also revealed that it will run at 1080p resolution and the DualShock 4’s speaker seems to be a feature that is part of the game’s future.
PlanetSide 2, a game that showcases the ForgeLight engine, takes place across the continents of Auraxis, you as a player will have to work together with the Alliances that you make, and go into battles to win control of territories and resources. Gain experience in order to gain new skills and class abilities for your soldier, weapons, and vehicles to match both the way you play, and benefit the needs for your squad, outfit and empire. You have the choice of joining one of the three empires, New Conglomerate, Terran Republic, and Vanu Sovereignty. The enormous battles have about 2000 players per continent and the battles can last for days or weeks. Fight your enemies with air and ground vehicles along with other troops.
After the image above was released, Clint Worley replied to a tweet with another image, mentioning the promise of an E3 appearance for the game.
