This update was shared during the company’s fiscal year 2024–25 earnings report, indicating that the game is expected to contribute to the financial performance of the fiscal year 2025–26. The FY2025-26 guidance will benefit from strong back-catalog that will notably rely on Assassin’s
Creed Shadows and the release of Siege X which is expected to strongly grow franchise net
bookings, regular partnerships as well as the following line-up: Anno 117: Pax Romana™, Prince
of Persia™: The Sands of Time remake.
Originally scheduled for a January 2021 release, the remake has experienced multiple delays and a change in development studios. The project is now being led by Ubisoft Montreal, with support from Ubisoft Toronto, Bucharest, Paris, and Pune. The development team is focused on modernizing the classic while preserving its core elements. Enhancements include updated graphics, refined controls, and enriched character interactions, particularly with the character Farah, who will have a more prominent and developed role.
With its release, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is poised to reintroduce the beloved classic to a new generation, blending nostalgic elements with modern enhancements to deliver a refreshed gaming experience.
