Microsoft announced that fans of Gears of War will have the chance to get bonus content if they choose to pre order the latest installment of the series.
The bonus for Gears of War 4, Brothers to The End Elite Gear Pack, will be available to anyone willing to pre order. The Pre order content consists of three different character skins and two weapon skins available to use in multiplayer. Players will be able to play as Old Man Marcus, Tomorrow Anya, and Zombie Dom. Here is the official details given by Microsoft:
- Old Man Marcus- features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.
- Tomorrow Anya- named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.
- Zombie Dom- proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.
Along with the character skins, players will also receive a Gold Wave Lancer and Gold Wave Gnasher. Lastly, players who pre order any version of the game will be granted access to all previous Gears of War’s in the series previously offered on the Xbox 360. This includes Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War: Judgment. Gears of War 4 is currently set to be released on October 11th. Players may also purchase a special edition Loot Crate for the game as well.
