

In the earlier moments of The 2025 Game Awards Pragmata was showcased yet again to build hype for the games release this upcoming year. Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi adventure Pragmata, originally revealed in 2020 and now scheduled for a 2026 release, has been a topic of discussion in the run-up to The Game Awards 2025.
In a press release from Capcom, Pragmata is a scif-fi action game with unique hacking gameplay mechanics. The game is set on the moon in the not too distant future and the story follow an unlikely duo on mission to escape a lunar station that has been overrun with hostile robots. In this single player game, players can control both characters and both have their own special abilities. The story follows Hugh an astronaut stranded in space. He is aided by a friendly A.I, which he calls Diana. Throughout the game she rides on Hugh’s back while he fights space alien robots. The two are fighting to get Hugh back to earth and it seems after watching the trailer today they will have to navigate through a city based somewhere in space.
Pragmata was originally announced back in 2020 and later delayed until 2023, then completely came to halt. It is official that Pragmata is set to launch on April 24, 2026. As well as the the game being revealed again. Previously the game was announced on platforms such as PC, PlayStation, Xbox but it will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 demo gameplay is also now available to play on Steam on all platforms.
However since the game itself is not yet released and therefore was not among the major nominees for awards like Game of the Year, it has remained in the spotlight due to industry anticipation and speculation around the ceremony.
